Welcome to the Mortgage Office
Steve began his mortgage career in 2002 and was named partner at The Mortgage Office in 2005. He received his Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist designation in 2006. Steve purchased The Mortgage Office in December 2008.
Steve truly enjoys meeting new people and getting his clients the best mortgage program and rate in the most streamlined manner possible. He's proud of the customer service that The Mortgage Office provides and welcomes people to stop in the office and see dozens of thank you letters on the walls!
A resident of Cape Elizabeth with his wife and three children, Steve is active in the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce, Youth Soccer, and Cape Elizabeth Lacrosse. He's a former board member of the Portland Chamber of Commerce, Big Brother Big Sisters, and Mortgage Bankers Association.
Meg, a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, has worked in the mortgage industry since 1985, and she and her husband, Mike, started The Mortgage Office in 1995.
She served as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association and served on the board for over eight years. Meg's commitment to customer service is reflected in the many customers who come back for her can-do attitude in addressing their financial needs.
A Maine native, Don graduated from Harvard College and has over 25 years of real estate and lending experience in Greater Portland and Southern Maine.
Don has lived in Yarmouth since 1987 with his wife and three children. He is active in local organizations including the Greater Portland Board of Realtors, is a member of First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth, and is a volunteer pilot and officer in the Civil Air Patrol/USAF Auxiliary. Don also serves as a Board Member on the Board of the Maine Association of Mortgage Professionals.
A graduate of Colgate University, Craig brings his 10 years of banking experience to The Mortgage Office team.
Craig recently relocated from Connecticut to Yarmouth and is quickly becoming an active member of the community.
He and wife Melissa are very happy with moving the family to Maine. The Fox family, including daughters Ava (4) and Jocelyn (born in Maine last year), is now enjoying life the way it is, instead of the way it should be.
Mike Denning joined The Mortgage Office in the summer of 2009. He is a graduate of Hobart College and has an M.B.A from the University of Pennsylvania. He has been in the banking business for over 25 years as a lender and senior executive.
Mike is also actively involved in the Yarmouth non-profit Safe Passage, which was founded by his daughter Hanley. Mike has also been involved for many years in Yarmouth sports and has coached basketball and lacrosse.
David owned and operated the Snow Squall restaurant in South Portland's Knightville neighborhood for over twenty years. During that time he met and made friends with people from all over Maine. "I always gave my customers a fair deal and a good price -- and I still do," says David.
At The Mortgage Office we are extremely ethical and honest with our clients. We reward the frugal, forgive the forgetful, and trust the untried! We can do this because we have access to a wide range of loan programs, giving us the flexibility to make loans that banks might refuse.
Debbie has been in the mortgage industry for over 12 years. She has worked for mortgage companies in greater Portland, and she joined The Mortgage Office in 2007.
Debbie is a vital member of the team and oversees processing and day-to-day office functions; her goal is to make sure clients are so pleased with the service they receive from The Mortgage Office that they want to add to the dozens of thank you notes hanging on her office wall. Debbie's interests include sewing, her dogs, and all things Disney!.
